The initiative to produce the drawings is part of the activities of the National Financial Education Week, which takes place between May 20th and 26th, promoted by the National Financial Education Committee (Conef) in São Paul.
According to Manfred Desenbrock, president of Sicredipar and Central Sicredi PR/SP/RJ, “It is necessary that children are familiarized with concepts such as savings, value of money and household budget, as a child who understands consumer relations, and the importance of the habit of saving, will be more likely to avoid debt in the future. And nothing better than talking about this topic with the help of characters so dear to Brazilians as Turma da Mônica.”
Regarding the launches, the creator of Turma da Mônica, Maurício de Sousa pointed out, “The solutions for the country's growth pass through good information through education. Children and young people need to know from an early age how to solve problems that their parents already face and that they will face throughout their lives. The comics and animations that we developed together with Sicredi help to ensure that this information arrives correctly and directly for everyone”.
The three episodes of Turma da Mônica are already available on Youtube. See and pass it on in the classroom to your students!!
