Especially after the pandemic period, due to the very high number of unemployment, apps have become sources of income for most Brazilian workers. However, as it is a recent business, there was still no professional regulation for these workers.

The informative document sent by the Ministry of Labor reveals that it intends to regulate the services provided by autonomous professionals linked to virtual platforms. Still in its initial phase, this proposal studies a way to regulate the type of contract that this category exercises, without the need to characterize an employment relationship.
Given this, it is a different form of Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT), but with certain guarantees, such as, for example, payment to Social Security, arising both from the employer and the professional.
This initiative intends to balance the needs of service providers, companies and even consumers of these services. Therefore, this must be a text that meets the demand of the formalization category, without the need for an employment relationship.
In addition, the collection of Social Security as one of the aforementioned proposals becomes of paramount importance. In this way, it is possible to guarantee social security protection to these providers.
The folder still does not know if it intends to edit a Provisional Measure or send it as a bill to Congress. Both processes need to be approved by federal deputies and senators. However, the MP has a faster procedure, coming into force immediately after publication in the Official Gazette.
