The expression became popular in one of the songs by the group Os Barões da Pisadinha, which had a hit with the name “Tá rocheda”.

In the Northeast, mainly in Ceará and Pernambuco, the expression is famous for being present in the vocabulary of pirangueiros, young people from the suburbs who have a unique way of dressing and a characteristic way of to communicate.
The lyrics of the song are basically about a date, in which the interpreter takes a woman to dinner and she goes to the bathroom and disappears, when he goes to look for her, she is with another man.
In the chorus of the song, it is sung:

In this case, the interpreter uses the expression “tá rocheda” with irony, in the sense of “did you cheat on me? Cool, great attitude, congrats, you deserve an award.”
