A University of La Rioja, in the community of La Rioja, in Spain, makes available 8 quarterly grants for Spanish Language and Culture Courses at the institution. Aimed at Brazilian university students, those interested in the scholarships must apply through institution's website or from Santander, until the 27th of March.
In addition to the value of languages course, the grants include accommodation in a university residence, health insurance and €1,500 towards living expenses and air tickets.

The courses last for three months and can be taken in the last quarter of 2020 (October to December) or in the first two quarters of 2021 (January to March and March to June). At the time of registration, the candidate can select which date they prefer, but the final decision will be made by the university.
During the quarter, the institution also develops some cultural activities with students, such as guided visits to tourist sites and cinema cycles.
The initial requirement to participate in the process is to be a student at a Brazilian university, either at the undergraduate level (bachelor and degree), post-graduation lato sensu (specialization and MBA) and stricto sensu graduate studies (master's, doctoral and post-doctoral degrees). And there is no age restriction or prior knowledge of the Spanish language.
To register, simply access the website and fill in the form. form with personal, academic and professional information. In the same form there is the option to select the best date for the course.
On the Santander website it is also necessary to carry out a similar process. Another need is for students to have a bank account, so that scholarships can be deposited.
According to the announcement, the selection will give preference to candidates with better academic record. However, there will be no public disclosure of the results. Those who are pre-selected in the 1st phase will be informed, on April 11th, about the acts to continue the selection.
