A Netflix has just been notified by Procon-SP for its new policy of charging an additional fee of R$12.90 per month from users who share their passwords away from home. The decision, however, has generated a lot of repercussions.
This is because it is the subscriber's right to understand what the company is announcing and how this new billing criterion will work.

Because of this, Procon-SP decided to monitor this situation closely to ensure that the streaming giant is within the guidelines of the Consumer Protection Code.
Now, as an account holder, you can purchase an extra point for just R$12.90 or transfer the profile to someone else and let them take over a new subscription.
However, all residents of the same household can enjoy Netflix wherever they are – at home, on the road or on their travels – without any additional problems.
The charge was made in more than 100 countries, including Brazil. Users received the announcement from the platform via email and also via social media.
In the description it says that: “your account is exclusive to you and the people who live with you. To avoid additional monthly fees of BRL 12.90 per extra user who does not fit into the family group, remove access for these people”.
In addition to the announcement of the charge for sharing passwords, the platform implemented two new features in its mobile interface. The “My List” section now has filters that help the user organize themselves with what they have watched and recently added to the list.
What's more, a new section will be available, but the details have not yet been published.
Taking the opportunity to bring more news to the new moment, in the coming weeks subscribers will be able to enjoy the new features in the application for iOS and Android.
It is now possible to filter content by format – whether series or movies – and also by productions that you have already started watching or not. Not to mention the classification of works on “My List”.
According to Netflix, everything was designed to make the user experience even more personalized and enjoyable.
