On Monday (15th), the site that compares products and prices Zoom published a survey that points out that searches by Brazilians for cell phone purchases of the two largest Chinese manufacturers, Xiaomi and Huawei, grew by 253% in the first quarter of 2019 in the country, compared to the same period last year.
The growth happened because the smartphones of more traditional brands sold in Brazil face high significant price increase, which leads consumers to look at products that have a cost-benefit ratio better. Which is what happens with Chinese products.

According to the Zoom survey, the Xiaomi brand was a champion in tracking prices and user purchases. The brand showed a 254% increase in the last quarter, also counting on the Mi 8 Lite, in the 64GB option.
Huawei, another big name in the Chinese market, showed a growth of 195% in the first quarter of 2019 compared to the same period of 2018.
Chinese models have good configurations and much lower prices when compared to other products sold in the domestic market. Strong reason that attracts people's attention to Asian country brands.
As a negative point, it is important to emphasize that the manufacturers are not officially in Brazil, which makes it difficult to access the warranty and technical assistance.
However, it was announced that the DL brand will represent Xiaomi in the country and bring the Pocophone F1, and the Redmi Note 6 Pro, and deliver after-sales support for the devices.
Huawei also announced that it will return to the country with the P30 Pro and P30 Lite models.
