Exchange program offers scholarships to technology students

Want to study abroad? So stay tuned for Tech Fellow applications. This exchange program has scholarships whose total value reaches R$ 1 million to sponsor technology students.

The Tech Fellow has already invested R$4.9 million in scholarships for Brazilians in some of the best universities in the world, such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Yale University, and Harvard University.

The scholarship offered can cover up to 95% of the costs, reaching almost R$ 220,000 per candidate. The investment offers financial aid to cover the payment of the course and expenses related to studies, such as housing, transportation, food and books.

Tech Fellow offers grants for broadband (Major), dual track (Double Major), track in secondary area (Minor) and exchanges lasting more than two months. In addition, fellows have the opportunity to be mentored and guided by founders of startups, big techs and professionals who are reference in technology.

They also have access to exclusive courses and events, career support, individual and personalized support to leverage their projects and accelerate your professional life, support the creation of projects and connection with potential investors, as well as connection with opportunities in the Marketplace.

Who can participate in the Tech Fellow selection process?

• Being a promising student in the tech area
• Studying or in the process of being accepted for graduation or long-term exchange at a university abroad or in the best ranked universities in Brazil
• Be in the process of acceptance, enrolled or attending any of the following courses:
  • Computer Science;
  • Data Science;
  • Software or Computer Engineering;
  • Information systems;
  • Or related courses.

Programs such as the Tech Fellow are of fundamental importance to train qualified labor for the technology sector. By the way, it is worth mentioning that this is one of the fastest growing sectors and who most need qualified professionals.

According to the Brazilian Association of Information and Communication Technology and Digital Technologies Companies, the Brasscom, 797,000 new jobs will be created in the tech sector by 2025, but 532,000 will not be replaced due to lack of professionals.
