On the morning of this Tuesday, March 17th, the government of the State of São Paulo announced the first death in Brazil due to coronavirus. The victim is a 62-year-old man who belonged to the risk group, with diabetes, hypertension and prostatic hyperplasia.
Even today, at 1 pm, the São Paulo State Health Secretariat will hold a press conference to provide more information about the case. The Secretary of Health, José Henrique Germann, and the coordinator of the Coronavirus Contingency Center, infectologist David Uip, will be present at the meeting.
