The new president of Inep, Elmer Vicenzi, assured that there was not and will not be censorship of topics in the Enem tests. The evaluation is confirmed for the 3rd and 10th of November. He stated this in a public hearing at the Education Commission of the Chamber of Deputies.
Elmer reported that the three-person commission created at Inep in March to assess Enem's questions worked for just ten days. The works would have already been closed and there was no removal of items from the national base of questions. "It doesn't work anymore and it won't work during our tenure."

According to him, this commission is one more among the many that have already been installed at Inep. “In 2016, there was also a committee set up to read the test”. Elmer also guaranteed that there are no rules for cutting themes. “The study reference matrix for students is the same as in 2009”.
Vice-president of the Brazilian Union of Secondary Students (Ubes), Marcelo Acácio pointed out that the discussion of social issues, gender issues and human rights in the Enem exams is very important.
“Today, cases of machismo and racism are seen in the classroom and it is necessary to address this in the Enem”, he opined. He believes that there is a setback in relation to the criteria used in the preparation of the exam tests since 2017.
Registration for the Enem is still open, at the cost of R$ 85. The tests will be applied in 1,727 Brazilian municipalities. Municipalities with less than 600 subscribers, for example, are excluded.
