Brazilian students win world robotics tournament

Brazilian students won the First Championship robotics tournament. The event was held in Houston, in the United States. The students were finalists in the three modalities in dispute. They were: First Lego League, First Tech Challenge and First Robotics Competion. The Brazilian delegation was formed by 10 teams, totaling 106 students.

The Sesi teams from Blumenau (SC) and Americana (SP) won first place in the First Lego League category, in Gracious Professionalism and in Robot Design, respectively. The Jundiaí team won second place in Strategy and Innovation. Young people between 9 and 16 years old from primary and secondary education compete in this category.

The Sesi de Goiânia team was one of the six finalists for the Motivation Award in the First Tech Challenge category.
