On May 16th, the federal government announced that it will carry out some modifications in the access to the Directory of Research Groups (DGP), Lattes Curriculum and Carlos Chagas Integrated Platform (PICC). According to the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, the objective is to enable access through the government website, Gov.br.

“Only a new Login alternative will be created for these users. There will be no internal changes to the systems or their databases, which are currently replicated and have multiple backups on different storage devices. A new interface for the CNPq Login will also be implemented, with the aim of increasing security in accessing the systems,” said the platform’s statement.
An example that can be seen is the Lattes platform. In this new entry version, it is similar to other government websites. The CNPq, likewise, was modified, providing the option to insert the CPF. However, for those who are foreigners and do not have the document, it will still be possible to access it via email.
Something that constantly disturbed the researchers was the possibility of a blackout in the new Lattes system, like the one that had occurred the previous year, in mid-July and August. At the time, the platform was simply inaccessible for about two weeks.
In order not to remain in harm, in case it happens again, the researchers suggested saving the resumes in documents so that the acquired information was not completely lost. “Get a copy of your Lattes CV today. Tomorrow the CNPq system will change. Make a copy in Word, if you can”, pointed out researcher Debora Diniz.
