Those interested can register from April 5th to May 5th through Plataforma Freire, where the applicant will choose the course according to the candidate's background. Classes will begin in the second half of 2016.
The areas being made available are the following: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Literature – Portuguese, Science, History and Geography.
If you apply, be aware of the deadlines. From May 6th to June 6th, validation will be carried out by SEDUCs. The final result will be made available until June 30th.
Courses in 2017
The Ministry of Education also informed that next year the first and second degree courses should be offered and those for pedagogical complementation of the National Plan for the Training of Basic Education Teachers, Parfor, face-to-face and distance learning.
Also according to the MEC, data were released in March 2016 showing that 40% of teachers in primary and secondary education in public networks do not have the ideal qualification.
