Consuming boiled eggs is a practical and delicious way to introduce more protein and several important nutrients into your diet. Since, you can put this food in salads, pizzas, snacks, sauces, pies among many other options.
However, despite cooking being practical and quick, the next step of removing the egg shell can often be tiring and take up a lot of our time preparing food in the kitchen.

But there is a solution to this problem: chemical yeast. Using this ingredient in boiling water for your egg, along with a heat shock procedure, will detach the shell much more easily.

How to use chemical yeast:

First, you need to heat the water until it boils, so you can add the eggs and at least one tablespoon of chemical yeast.

Next, you'll need to perform a heat shock: when the eggs are at your preferred cooking time, you should immediately place them in cold water. You can add ice to the water to speed up the process and let the eggs rest for a few minutes.

With that, just a few taps on the eggs dipped in cold water, will be necessary to easily release the shell.

Some people prefer hard-boiled eggs with a softer yolk and others with a very firm yolk. That's why we've brought you the ideal time for you to prepare the boiled egg the way you like it best:

  • 3 minutes: almost liquid soft yolk;
  • 6 minutes: yolk at the ideal point;
  • 12 minutes: hard-boiled egg.

Remember that you should count this time only when the water boils, which is the ideal time to add the eggs.
