In a new space venture, the UAE is preparing to study seven asteroids in a mission scheduled to launch in 2030. This project comes as a continuation of the successful venture of the Arab mission hope, which entered orbit Mars in 2021 and continues to analyze the atmosphere of the Red Planet.
After keeping it secret for some time, the UAE has finally revealed the details of the mission that will study the asteroids. During the Asteroids, Comets and Meteors Conference, a document revealed the asteroids chosen to be analyzed in this ambitious project, which was initially announced in 2021.

Now the plans are taking shape and the UAE is ready to move forward on this exciting journey of space exploration. Check out the team plan!
According to the document released during the Asteroid Conference, the UAE space mission Arabs plans to visit and study seven asteroids in the Asteroid Belt, a region located between Mars and Jupiter.
The objects chosen for this exploration are the following: 10253 Westerwald, 623 Chimaera, 88055, 23871, 13294 Rockox, 59980 and 269 Justitia.
This careful selection will allow scientists to collect valuable data about these celestial bodies and advance our knowledge of the universe.
The next decade promises to be full of exciting discoveries on this UAE space exploration mission.
During the scheduled flybys, a brief visit to all seven selected asteroids is planned, but it is the asteroid 269 Justitia that will receive special attention with a more in-depth study.
With approximately 50 km in diameter and reddish tones on its surface, this asteroid suggests the presence of organic compounds.
It is thought to have formed in a more distant region, possibly beyond Neptune's orbit, and later to have been gravitationally captured by the inner Solar System.
The mission timeline predicts that the first flyby will take place in 2030, followed by the remaining six over time.
In 2034, the spacecraft will focus its studies on the asteroid 269 Justitia, investigating in detail the composition of its surface, its geology and the gravitational field around the object.
