Other information was also released by Jornal da USP. The first one refers to the possibility of consultation by course and unit. Students can check, through the respective links, the course table and the distribution of vacancies by Fuvest and Sisu.
USP also released the schedule of tests for Fuvest. The first phase will be applied on November 25th and the second on January 6th and 7th. The selection by Sisu, in turn, will take place between November 4th and 11th.
It is worth remembering that, in May, USP approved changes in the second phase of the entrance exam by Fuvest. Previously, the stage consisted of three days and, as you can see, it will now be applied in two.
The first will be dedicated to writing and Portuguese language issues. The second day is set aside for the specific questions of the chosen course. However, now, there will be two to four disciplines, depending on the unit.
In addition to the changes made in the second phase, the registration modalities also changed. In 2017, USP adopted reservation of vacancies for students who studied in public schools, in addition to self-declared Blacks, Browns and Indigenous people.
The registration will then enter the vacancy modalities system. When the student chooses his course, he must choose one of three modalities: Wide Competition (AC), Affirmative Action Public School (EP), Affirmative Action Black, Brown and Indigenous (PPI).
In 2019, 40% of the places in each course will be reserved for public school students, including Sisu and Fuvest. Of this amount, 37.5% will also be allocated to those who qualify for PPI vacancies.
The value of the registration fee has not changed, so it remains at R$ 170.00. The period has not yet been disclosed, but it is already known that registration should open in August.
