From then on, those selected have until July 31 to complete their information and close the financing contract. Interest in the 2nd call must be indicated between August 1st and 24th, except for P-Fies, which do not have a waiting list.
Participation in the program requires that the candidate has participated in one of the editions of the National High School Examination (Enem) from 2010 onwards. They must also have presented an average equal to or greater than 450 points, without zeroing the essay.
Being contemplated by the financing, the student must be approved in all subjects at the risk of losing the benefit.
The new FIES has two modalities. In one of them, vacancies are offered at zero interest rates for students with a per capita family income of up to three minimum wages. The student pays the installments according to his income limit, reducing the charges to be paid.
Minimum funding is 50% for courses with a monthly fee of up to R$7,000 (semester limit is R$42,000). The educational institution undertakes to charge the lowest monthly fee to the student contemplated.
The other modality is the P-Fies, aimed at those with a per capita family income of up to five minimum wages. It works with resources from private banks and constitutional development funds.
The University for All Program (ProUni) released, also today, the list of candidates selected in the second call. The list can be consulted by program website and also the participating institutions.
Those contemplated have until July 23 to prove the information provided in the registration with the universities. Anyone who, by chance, misses the deadline or is unable to prove it, is disapproved.
Those who, so far, have not had their names published can express interest on the waiting list on the 30th and 31st of July. The call by the institutions should be announced on August 2nd.
The second edition of ProUni offers 174,289 vacancies, 105,405 partial and 68,884 full in 1,460 institutions. Scholarships granted vary according to income, being total for gross family income of up to 1.5 minimum monthly wages and partial for 3 minimum wages.
