A Tiradentes University (Unit) became a world reference among technology specialists around the world due to the projects focused on the area. The institution was recognized globally in the University of Reference program - Google for Education.
There are about 80 million active users of the GSuite for Education platform, but only Unit has received the title of world reference. Until then, the program was only referred to as Escola Referência – Google for Education, since the achievement had not reached higher-level establishments.

Google for Education focuses on creating educational experiences for over 70 million students and teachers in over 180 countries. The company offers Chrome OS devices for classrooms, including Chromebooks, Chromebox, Chromebases and device management tools to enhance learning.
“From January to October 2018, only of the approximately 600 pieces of equipment available for daily use in libraries, 60,371 thousand were borrowed and already more than 12,000 tests of disciplines were carried out online”, highlighted the director of Competitive Intelligence of Grupo Tiradentes, professor Domingos Ax.
Together with developers, Google makes learning experiences through solutions such as Google Classroom, Google Expeditions, G Suite and an application system specialized. They also support universities' research and infrastructure with Google Cloud Platform, providing a better classroom experience for educators and students.
