The project was approved by the National Congress and then sanctioned by the President of the Republic, Michel Temer, in February last year.
In March, MEC presented the New Secondary School project to representatives of the World Bank, in Washington, in the United States. The objective was to obtain financing of 250 million dollars from the institution for the implementation of the necessary changes in student services. At the time, the bank was open to partnering with the country and the Federal Senate authorized the agreement in April.
