Nomophobia, the irrational fear of cell phones

With cell phones increasingly expanding their functions and with entertainment options on social networks being more and more attractive, the lost time returned to smartphone screens has always been shown growing.

According to a report by State of Mobile, the Brazilian and Indonesian populations are those who waste the most time using smartphones, being averaged at 5.4 hours a day, surpassing even countries like the United States, with a daily average of 4.2 hours per day.

Wasted time on social media

It is worth noting that the above data only concerns smartphones. If other electronic devices with internet access are included, the number tends to get even higher.

The internet, in fact, is proving to be more and more attractive. Through it, it is possible to acquire information from all over the world, in addition to having fun with social networks. social media, electronic games, audiovisual content such as movies and series, and even shopping online.

With the arrival of smartphones, people have this world of possibilities within reach, making them become an extremely present object in most people's daily lives.

addiction to smartphones

With so much ease found through the use of the smartphones, many people end up demanding a series of functions from these devices, making them essential for their daily lives.

It is at this point that the danger lies. As a result of this facility, several individuals are simply unable to proceed normally in the absence of telephones, in many cases becoming terrified of it.

So, if you are a person who depends on your smartphone to perform various functions and, to top it off, is terrified of being without it, maybe you have nomophobia.
