Tea, although very beneficial, cannot be taken in an exaggerated way. This is because, in large quantities, some adverse reactions may occur. The increase in liver enzymes for those who drank the tea daily was one of the perceived reactions, and this elevation can cause liver problems.

In addition, some cases of increased amounts of estrogen have been found, which can lead to a hormonal imbalance and thus, in more serious cases, cause breast cancer. In addition to this, tea has also been associated with male fertility, in the sense that, if consumed in excess, it can reduce the number of sperm.

For these reasons, the tea is not indicated for those who are undergoing chemotherapy, as it may affect the treatment, nor for people with liver diseases, hormonal cancer and/or kidney diseases. Therefore, consume tea in a moderate way to enjoy its benefits and not suffer from the negative consequences.
