The contest for selecting soldiers for the Military Police and Military Fire Brigade of Bahia was held on January 22nd. The test gave something to talk about because of an issue related to the transgender singer Linker.
The exam was carried out, in the morning, in Salvador and in 11 other cities in Bahia. The question that reverberated on the internet was about Current Affairs and asked candidates if they knew who had been the first trans singer to win the Latin Grammy, one of the highest honors in music.
In the alternatives of the question, there were the names of several artists, such as Aretuza Lovi, Gloria Groove, Pabllo Vittar and Linn da Quebrada. The correct answer was in alternative D, which quoted Liniker. She won the Latin Grammy in November 2022 in the category of “Best MPB Album”.
At the twitter, the news about the contest test issue was successful very quickly. Several people congratulated those responsible for the diversity included in the contest through the question. In addition, others praised the singer and marked her in the publication. However, another group of people criticized the situation.
The objective and discursive tests of the contest were applied in Salvador; Alagoinhas; Barriers; Feira de Santana; Islanders; Irecê; Itaberaba; Itabuna; Juazeiro; Saint Anthony of Jesus; Serrinha and Vitória da Conquista.
In the capital of Bahia alone, tests were made available in 38 educational units located in 25 different neighborhoods. Some of these institutions that were the stage for applying the exams were Luís Viana, in Brotas; buildings of higher education institutions, such as the UFBA classroom pavilions, in Ondina; and the Faculdade Baiana de Direito, on the Costa Azul.
The contest exam for PM and Fire Department had 80 multiple-choice objective questions, which addressed general and specific knowledge. There was also a discursive test, aimed at the elaboration of a dissertation text.
