Cheese bread is tradition

The history of cheese bread dates back to the 16th century, when African slaves who worked in the farms in the south of Brazil started to make bread with manioc flour and cheese to eat during the day. Bread was easy to prepare, did not require special ovens, and could be taken into the countryside to be eaten as a snack.

Over time, the recipe spread to other regions of Brazil, and cheese bread became a popular delicacy and an important part of Brazilian cuisine. Nowadays, cheese bread is found all over the country, in addition to being enjoyed in many other places around the world, including North America, Europe and Asia.

Recipe to "recover" cheese bread

To make the snack fresh, it's very simple! First, you need to turn on the oven at 200°C and let it preheat for about 10 minutes. After that, take a baking sheet and place the cheese breads from the previous day next to each other.

Splash a little filtered water, using a spray bottle, on top of each of them. Then put the pan in the oven for 5 minutes. Never exceed this time! That's because your cheese bread can burn and your recipe can go for something below.

After the indicated time has passed, the cheese breads will be crispy and tasty as if they had been freshly made.
