By analyzing the physical activity habits of 89,573 people, researchers identified that exercising at least twice a week on consecutive days prevents heart disease.
The research evaluated the benefits of going to the gym on consecutive days of the week in a practice called “weekend warrior” (“Weekend Warrior”).

U.S recommended that Americans engage in physical exercise for at least 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of vigorous physical activity.So they decided to consider the suggested time of 150 minutes on consecutive days. Then, they used weekly physical activity data and separated people according to profiles: active, regular active and inactive.
Other factors considered for the analysis were age, fitness, tobacco and alcohol use and preexisting diseases.
After evaluation, the researchers identified that "increased activity, even when concentrated on 1 to 2 days per week, may be effective in improving cardiovascular risk profiles."
Therefore, they found that doing physical activities in a concentrated way during the week is just as efficient as having the same activities more evenly distributed. The important thing is to consider uptime and maintain an exercise routine.
