Mass recall in China: over 200,000 hybrid cars

With the purpose of correcting factory defects and the like, automobile companies perform a procedure known as a recall. That is, vehicles with problems are temporarily recalled by companies to fix what is wrong. As some models of Chinese vehicles manufactured by Honda between August 2018 and September 2020 had been experiencing problems, it became necessary to carry out the recall. Check now the statement made by the State Administration of Market Regulation of China on the recall of honda in the country.

The need for recall

Although the majority of accidents involving vehicles on highways are caused by high speed, several accidents happen due to factory errors in certain models, which is worrying and needs to be liable.

In this sense, the most common problems are: electrical system failures, engine overheating, suspension and exchange defects, as well as brake problems. Consequently, automobile companies bear great responsibility in accidents involving mechanical defects and the like.

To give you an idea, the Federal Highway Police (PRF) recorded almost 60,000 accidents caused by factory defects in Brazil. Therefore, there is a need for rapid identification of possible problems and their resolution. After all, lives are put at risk from the moment a defective car hits the market.

Honda's recall in China

The 105,608 hybrid models produced by Honda in partnership with the company Dongfeng Motor between October 2018 and September 2020 will be collected for inspection. In addition to them, another 95,081 other models (manufactured by Guangzhou Automobile and Honda) will be part of the mass recall of the Japanese company.

Due to factory problems related to the lubricating oil that is applied to the brake pedal sensors, the recall was necessary. According to the statement, March 31, 2023 is the scheduled date for the start of the process.
