Researchers have found an underground laboratory in the city of Anda, which is located in the Chinese province of Heilongjang, which, according to experts, was used for human experiments during World War II World.
The place, nicknamed the 'terror bunker', was used by scientists in the service of the infamous Unit 731 of the Japanese army, responsible for such experiments. The old laboratory was built underground, hence the nickname it received.

Still according to the archaeologists who discovered the place, the bunker was installed during the occupation of China, which took place between 1941 and 1945.
The site was known by historians and has always been considered the largest research laboratory of the Japanese secret department for biological and chemical weapons. The exact location, however, was never discovered until then.
According to information from the South China Morning Post, Unit 731 started out as a public health post. However, little by little it became a place of human experiments with Chinese, Russians, Koreans and Americans captured in the war. These people were used as guinea pigs.
According to the statistics raised by the researchers, almost 12 thousand women, men and children were killed by the macabre experiments carried out by Unit 731 in China.
This included testing with bombs, bacteria, flamethrowers, and various chemical weapons. In addition, people were subjected to dehydration, spinning centrifuges, injection with the blood of sick animals, and many other atrocities.
The structure was U-shaped and nearly 33 meters long and 21 meters wide. The rooms were interconnected by tunnels. After the surrender of Japan in 1945, evidence of the inhumane experiments carried out there was covered up.
In addition, many of the leaders who acted in the conception and performance of the experiments carried out by unit 731 gained legal immunity in order not to answer for their crimes. Much of the information was taken to the Cold War biological weapons center in the US between 1943 and 1969.
The archaeologists who made the discovery reinforce that the return of places like this to the news only reinforces the need to fight chemical and biological wars.
