Learn how to make chicken pie recipe

It's not uncommon to find that chicken pie in the windows of cafeterias and requested restaurants. The truth is that this savory pie flavor is one of the most famous and loved among Brazilians. Therefore, if you want to have access to this dish at home and guarantee that it will be delicious, just check out how to make it below.

Ingredients for the dough

To make this recipe, you will need the following items:

  • 1 cup unleavened wheat flour;
  • 2 whole eggs;
  • 1 tablespoon (soup) of baking powder;
  • 1 cup of milk;
  • 2 tablespoons of grated cheese;
  • 1/2 cup oil or olive oil;
  • 1/2 cube of beef or chicken broth

Ingredients for the stuffing

To make the filling, you will need:

  • 1/2 kg of cooked and shredded chicken breast;
  • 1/2 can of peas;
  • 1/2 large tomato;
  • 2 garlic cloves;
  • 1/2 can of green corn;
  • 1/2 can of olives;
  • 300 g of mozzarella cheese (optional);
  • Margarine;
  • coriander (optional);
  • 1/2 diced onion;
  • 1 cream of milk (optional).

Way of doing

To start preparing the dough, you will need to add the wheat flour, the oil, the milk, the eggs, the grated cheese and the broth in the blender to beat everything. After a few minutes, just add the baking powder and let the dough beat for about 2 minutes.

In this regard, you can start preparing the filling. So, the first step is to put the margarine, garlic and onion to sauté in a pan. When the onion starts to turn golden, you should throw the chicken in the pan and let it fry a little. When reaching the point of your preference, put the other ingredients in the pan.

Finally, unite the mold with margarine and flour and add the dough, the stuffing and place the cheese on top. Bake for about 30 minutes at 180ºC, or until golden, and remove from the stove.
