It is very important to pay attention to the enrollment dates for the National Examination for Revalidation of Medical Diplomas Issued by Education Institution Foreign Superior, or better, Revalida. When and where will it be applied?
Those wishing to take the exam must be in one of the following 8 cities on the days of the test: Brasilia (DF), Campo Grande (MS), Curitiba (PR), Porto Alegre (RS), Recife (PE), Rio Branco (AC), Salvador (BA) and São Paulo (SP).
Who can participate?
The INEP (National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira) has already defined who are those who have the right to participate in the exam. They are: those who, in addition to having a degree from a foreign institution of higher education, which is recognized in the country of origin, whether Brazilians or foreigners who are in a legal situation in the Brazil.
How does the test work?
The Revalida exam will start on March 5th and has 2 stages for approval, one theoretical and the other practical, but you only move on to practice if you managed to pass the theoretical one. Both stages have an interdisciplinary approach to the 5 major areas of medicine: internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics and family and community medicine (collective health).
The first stage, the theoretical one, has 2 tests in its evaluation. The first test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and the second test consists of 5 open-ended questions.
Only those who pass the theory will go to the second stage, the practical one, however the dates have not yet been announced.
What is Revalida?
The Revalida is the exam used since 2011 with the purpose of validating in the Brazilian territory, medical diplomas from foreign countries. After all, the exam consists of an assessment of the skills and competences of this professional according to the criteria of Brazil.
