New benefit for INSS retirees comes out in January 2022

You INSS retirees will have an extra value in their benefits, due to the readjustment of the minimum wage now in 2022. The correction will follow the percentage of 10.18%, number indicated by the National Consumer Price Index (INPC).

Thus, the increase in value comes to minimally enable the benefit to be within the cost of living in Brazil. This is because the INPC is the index responsible for assessing inflation, which is the increase in prices.

Who will receive the benefit?

The readjustment will include INSS retirees and other beneficiaries of specific programs paid by the Institute. Therefore, retirees, both due to disability, age or contribution time, are able to receive the corrected amount.

In addition, people who receive sick pay and accident pay are also on the list of beneficiaries with guaranteed readjustment. Finally, those who receive maternity salary, family allowance and Continued Benefit Benefit (BPC), will also have the value increased.

However, it is worth noting that, for beneficiaries of any program who receive more than one minimum wage, the readjustment will be 10.16%. Retirees and beneficiaries of the aforementioned programs will have the 10.18% readjustment assured.

Payment Schedule

Payments already with the addition of the readjustment will begin to be paid in January 2022, initially for those who receive up to one minimum wage. Thus, the calendar starts on January 25th, and the final number of your benefit will be the organizing criterion.

However, watch out! The number that precedes the digit, which comes after the dash, must be considered. So, a card 145,325,741-5, for example, has the final number 1. See the dates:

• January 27 – Final Beneficiary 3;
• January 28 – Final Beneficiary 4;
• January 31 – Final Beneficiary 5;
• February 1st – Final Beneficiary 6;

• February 03 – Final Beneficiary 8;
• February 4 – Final Beneficiary 9;
• February 07 – Final Beneficiary 0;

Payments for beneficiaries who receive more than one minimum wage begin on February 1st, following the same criteria. Check out:

• February 2 – Final Beneficiary 2 and 7;
• February 03 – Final Beneficiary 3 and 8;
• February 4 – Final Beneficiary 4 and 9;
• February 07 – Final beneficiary 5 and 0.
