the edition of Enem 2023 highlights the approval of 38,101 requests for specialized assistance and the fulfillment of 70,411 requests for accessibility resources.
Inep's goal is to reach the largest possible number of people interested in taking the exams, providing access to Brazilian educational programs and promoting equity among candidates.
Among the requested accessibility features, the reading aid was the most requested by the participants, with 10,721 requests approved.
Next are differentiated correction, with 8,703 requests; assistance for transcription, with 7,507 requests; and the easy access room, with 6,449 requests.

Among specialized care, the greatest demands were for people with attention deficit, totaling 13,686 requests, and by subscribers with low vision, which reached a total of 6,504 approvals.
Inep reinforces its responsibility with equity in access to higher education in Brazil through Enem. The exam has become the main gateway to higher education, making it possible to enter public and private institutions.
In addition, the Enem results are used as a selection criterion and also for access to government aid, such as the Student Financing Fund (Fies).
Enem also has international recognition, as individual results can be used in the selection processes of Portuguese institutions associated with Inep.
Such agreements guarantee easy access to the grades of Brazilian students interested in studying higher education in Portugal.
