First, it is important to understand the structure of the Enem tests, that is, which areas their questions cover. From there, it is interesting to review, in past editions, which were the most discussed topics.

Escola Educação brought, to help you, a compilation of subjects that fell in the last nine editions of the Enem. Not that you have to leave the other subjects aside (!), but with this information, you'll know how to better guide your studies.

Let's go?

What falls in the Enem?

O National High School Examination (Enem) has its exams divided into four major areas, each one containing certain disciplines, in addition to Writing.

In summary, these notebooks address all the knowledge studied during high school, but not only that. The student needs to demonstrate the applicability and interdisciplinarity of this content.

Check out what are the exam areas:

  • Mathematics and its technologies: Mathematics
  • Languages, Codes and their technologies: Literature, Portuguese and Foreign Languages (English and Spanish), Physical Education, Arts, Information and Communication Technologies
  • Natural Sciences and their technologies: Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • Human Sciences and their technologies: Geography, History, Sociology and Philosophy

In the Writing, you must prepare an intervention proposal on the indicated theme from the collection of supporting texts.

What are the topics that fall most in Enem?

The exam has its current format since 2009 and, therefore, it is from this edition that candidates can analyze what else falls on the Enem tests.

To make it easier, let's check by area of knowledge?

Mathematics and its technologies

It's a tough matter for many people, isn't it? But, breathe that she is no seven-headed animal! With our tips, it will be much easier for you to study and crush the Enem Mathematics test.

The themes that fall the most are:

  • Arithmetic and geometric progression
  • Combinatorial analysis
  • Probability
  • Sine, cosine and tangent
  • Calculation of area, volume and perimeters
  • 1st and 2nd degree functions
  • Mean, mode and median
  • proportional quantities
  • percentage
  • 1st and 2nd degree equations
  • Trigonometry
  • Area of geometric figures

A tip to familiarize yourself is to solve questions from previous editions. Another trick is to solve the easiest questions and then move on to the more difficult ones. Remember that, as in every test, Enem has different levels of difficulty.

Languages, codes and their technologies

In language tests, interpretation is a key point to close the question! The ability to interpret texts is undoubtedly the most addressed in Language tests.

See which are the most discussed topics in recent editions:

  • Grammar related to semantics
  • Literature
  • figures of speech
  • language functions
  • cultured and popular norm
  • Textual genres
  • Text interpretation
  • New orthographic agreement
  • Literary Movements and association with artistic expressions

And in foreign languages? Well, the tests have five questions, each with a text in the selected language. The questions, however, come in Portuguese. Even if less complex than the Portuguese language tests, the questions require textual interpretation. An interesting tip is to stay tuned in Politics, as the theme is recurrent, which helps due to its objectivity.

Take note: the memes are not just there to share with your friend! They are excellent in practice for textual interpretation. And to deepen your knowledge, do research on other subjects in the foreign language.

Biology

Like the others, the discipline of Biology brings everyday subjects and interdisciplinarity. The most discussed topics are Human Physiology, Ecology, Genetics and Evolution.

In Ecology, themes such as sustainability, water use, pollution, waste disposal and global warming are recurrent. As for Evolution, the theories of Lamarck and Darwin are the champions. Mendel's laws, functioning of the human body and pathology “rain” in the evidence.

A very valid tip is to read, carefully, the entire wording of the question. Often, the thread to answer the question is there.

Chemical

Teaching specialists say that the Enem Chemistry tests have increasingly approached those applied in traditional entrance exams. This means that you can prepare in a more systematic way.

As for the subjects, a lot of attention was paid to organic functions, pH, chemical balances, oxidation, neutrality, thermochemistry and stoichiometry. As with other Exact Science disciplines, training with exercises and questions from previous editions is fundamental to becoming familiar with.

Physical

Physics may even be present among us all the time, but let's agree that it keeps a lot of people awake at night. But, precisely because it commands simple activities in our daily lives, discipline can be seen more naturally at the time of the test.

In recent editions, the most demanded topics were Energy, Mechanics, Thermophysics and Electricity (transformations, power). It's cool to study subjects related to thermal energy, residential electrical circuits, wave motions, optics and Newtonian mechanics.

Returning to the question of the presence of Physics in our daily lives, it is interesting that the candidate stays connected to the news and situations he experiences. As in other areas, Enem relates theoretical contents of Physics to everyday practice.

Human Sciences and their Technologies

There are 45 questions that can address very broad subjects. After all, the disciplines included here are very much related to everyday life and current events! Moreover, it is interesting for the student to pay attention to the main axes touched by the Enem: the exercise of citizenship and the demand for freedom.

Just remember the topics covered in the newsroom until today! Therefore, pay close attention to the following matters:

  • Environmental issue
  • Brazilian Rural Situation
  • Urban Problems
  • Citizenship
  • Impacts of Technology on social and political life
  • Social Movements in History

It's like remembering that we are in times of political crisis, notable international events, political crimes and demonstrations here, very close to us. This will certainly be addressed in this edition of the Enem.

In addition, with regard to human rights, issues related to homophobia, gender issues and religious discrimination do not stop and the student needs to stay tuned. The tip is to go beyond the theoretical part and always be up to date with news, reports and documentaries, mainly related to the History of Brazil.

Guys, Enem's topics are comprehensive, but, as you can see, very related to everyday life. The idea is that the candidate knows how to apply, in his routine, what he studies at school, associating all disciplines.

With a little more attention and well-done preparation, your chances of crushing Enem 2018 are immense! Good luck!
