The line of investigation started with the child's mother's complaint, but the episode is already marked by controversy, since, according to the version of the director and the teacher (not identified by the local report) the victim had been bitten by another student, in the midst of 'a disagreement between children', which contradicts the report from the Official Expertise and Technical Identification (Politec), according to which the child had three abrasions and bruises on the left forearm, which would have been caused by nails.

Upon admitting to having become aware of the case, only last Monday (14th) – by e-mail sent by the Specialized Police Station for Rights of Children and Adolescents (DEDDICA), accompanied by the police report registered by the mother - the SME reaffirmed, in a bureaucratic, ‘its commitment to the well-being and safety of students assisted in the municipal public network, as well as to the reception of families'.
At the same time, councilor Maysa Leão (Republicans) demanded urgent measures from the SME in view of the aggression committed against the autistic child. “We need qualified people to be at the head of a Secretariat of Education and humane people. People who have heart. I want answers from the secretary about what happened and how long we're going to have problems like this. I'm asking for a contest for Caregiver for Students with Disabilities (CAD), for the company Conviva to stop earning R$ 4,300 on the worker's back, and the worker earning BRL 1,500, in addition to being insecure, feeling threatened with dismissal, in addition to being forbidden to talk to the students' parents", she stated her.
At the same time, Maysa revealed that she had filed a request for a public hearing to discuss the case. According to the parliamentarian, “autism is not a disease. It's a condition. There are levels of support and the autistic person needs a caregiver so as not to get hurt, so as not to become deregulated. It is constantly denied to children who arrive with a caregiver's medical prescription. Mothers have been called liars. Enough of the humiliation that these mothers are going through with this management, ”she protested.
