The proposal is similar to the old ones entrance exams, which had a first phase with all areas of knowledge. Only in the second phase, candidates would answer only questions consistent with the course they chose from three major areas of knowledge: Humanities, Exact Sciences and Biology.

The proposal for the Unified National Contest is gaining strength among federal government portfolios that already have an approved public notice. Last Friday, the 25th, the Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), Esther Dweck, announced that the conversation is already well advanced.
On that same date, the proposal was presented to several portfolios that already have approved contests. That is, new evidence must be inevitable.
In an interview with reporter Mônica Bergamo, from Folha de São Paulo, Minister Esther said that the test should be of General and Specific Knowledge, in the format of objective questions.
“The model is not yet closed, but we already have many points thought out to present”, commented the minister. The MGI's initial proposal is to apply the test in 180 cities to fill around 8,000 vacancies in federal bodies.
The official website of the Federal Government published, this Monday, August 28, that the proposal was, in fact, presented to folders that already have authorized tenders. However, he stressed that membership is voluntary.
The ministries that are interested in the Unified National Contest have until September 29th to give the green light and integrate the new contest model. O notice final should be published on December 20th.
The test will possibly only be applied next year, on February 25th. The scheme should be as follows: at first, on the same date, all candidates will take a test with a common matrix; and, in a second moment, specific and essay tests.
The result is expected to be released by the end of April 2024 and the training courses should start between June and July of next year.
