According to a study carried out by researchers at the University of Toronto, Canada, consuming natural fruit juice without sugar helps to prevent high blood pressure and the risk of stroke.
The study was released through the journal Plos One, on August 15, and brings innovative information about these specific cases. It is revealed that, despite the many factors that cause these types of problems, some specific practices can help prevent their emergence.

Blood pressure is a problem that directly affects the individual's blood vessels, heart and brain, in extreme cases it can even cause kidney failure. However, according to research, consumption of natural juice, sugar-free, can help prevent the development of this condition. Let's understand!
The results revealed that moderate daily consumption of natural juice, without added sugar, had a significant impact on participants' blood pressure. In particular, an intake of 50 ml to 150 ml of fruit juice resulted in an average reduction of 3.7 mmHg in systolic blood pressure.
On the other hand, individuals who used to drink sugary drinks, such as soda, showed an average increase of 6.9 mmHg in systolic blood pressure. Therefore, indicating that the consumption of this type of drink can have negative results in the development of this condition.
To obtain conclusive results, they reviewed 93 previous studies conducted by scientists from different institutions. Surprisingly, consuming the whole fruit, in addition to the natural juice, provided even more significant benefits during the study.
Researchers speculate that the beneficial effect of fruit juice is related to the nutrients and biocompounds present in fruits. Professor John Sievenpiper, lead author of the study, emphasizes that the available evidence clearly indicates that consumption of fruits and 100% natural juice, in moderate doses, can lead to significant reductions in blood pressure.
These findings offer a promising perspective on the importance of diet for overall cardiovascular health. Incorporating fresh juice and whole fruits into a balanced diet can be an effective strategy for controlling blood pressure and promoting heart health.
However, we remember that the discovery does not eliminate the need for medical advice on the subject and does not replace the use of controlled medications. Therefore, we recommend visiting your doctor to make any decision regarding this matter.
