Data from the Colégio Notarial do Brasil, based on 2020 Civil Registry statistics provided by the Institute Brazilian Geography and Statistics (IBGE), reveal that the average duration of marriages in the country as a whole is 13.8 years. However, when we look at reality state by state, interesting differences emerge.
