'Happy forever'? Check out the Brazilian states where marriages last the longest

In a world where love relationships often face challenges, it is interesting to observe how the length of marriages varies in different parts of Brazil.

However, when we look at reality state by state, interesting differences emerge.

The marriage relationship and Brazilian states

Let's find out in which states marriages survive the longest, in order to surpass the national average:

1. Piauí: This state tops the list with an impressive average marriage length of 17.6 years.
2. Rio Grande do Sul: With an average of 16.7 years, the state of Rio Grande do Sul also stands out for the longevity of its unions.
3. Large northern river: With an average age of 15.7 years, RN couples have long-lasting relationships.
4. Maranhão: Marriages here last an average of 15.4 years, which demonstrates a solid commitment.
5. Santa Catarina: With an average of 15.3 years, Santa Catarina also joins the group of states with long-term marriages.

But, of course, there are also states where weddings, unfortunately, tend to be shorter. Let's take a look at them:

1. Rondônia: It is the state where people tend to separate most quickly, with an average marriage duration of just 10.4 years.
2. Acre: Right after Rondônia, Acre has an average of 10.2 years, being the state with the shortest marriages.
3. Mato Grosso do Sul: With an average length of 11.7 years, marriages here are also relatively shorter.
4. Federal District: The average is 12.1 years, which places the country's capital among the states with shorter marriages.
5. Goiás: With an average of 12.4 years, Goiás is also in this group.

What about the most populous states? São Paulo, with an average of 12.9 years, is slightly below the national average, while Rio de Janeiro tied with Brazil, recording 13.8 years on average for the duration of marriages.
