The perfect barbecue needs to have good, high-quality meat to please everyone who comes to the celebration. With this in mind, a rigorous selection chose the “Best Tuscan sausage for barbecue” and the winner was the “Perdigão Na Brasa” sausage.
The competition organized by the gastronomic portal “Paladar” evaluated ten brands that circulate in Brazilian markets and was held in São Paulo, in a steakhouse in the Morumbi neighborhood.

During a blind tasting, the judges chose the one that best matches Brazilian preferences for a good barbecue.
“Tuscan sausage is generally a barbecue favorite because it is a sausage made from pork and makes a good counterpoint to other meats”, commented Tatu Damberg, one of the judges.
The five selected juries evaluated several essential criteria to classify the best product, such as appearance, texture, flavor and composition. Even the amount of fat and color of the product were considered.
For chef Egon Jais, fat influences the juiciness of the dish. meat and “the color is a good indication of the amount of additives added to the product, the lighter the better”, points out the professional.
During the blind test, the meats were roasted and tasted immediately after leaving the barbecue.

Tasty and succulent, these were some of the main criteria that made “Perdigão Na Brasa” the winner for barbecue.
According to the evaluators, the food is a product with balanced salt and fat, and the texture is pleasant. These characteristics make this the right sausage for meat lovers.
“Tuscany is one of Brazilian barbecue favorites due to its ease of production, it doesn’t have a special seasoning. very elaborate, but easy to please a variety of palates”, added barbecue chef Rafael Soares, one of the judges at the test.
For the verdict, the jury pointed out that the champion is a tasty sausage that has “great appearance and grinding”. Likewise, the “Perdigão Na Brasa” sausage won for being great value for money and easy to prepare.
