The name “tiger” is due to the black spots that the tiger shark has when young. But, as it grows, these spots disappear and the body takes on a gray or brown color. It measures around 6 meters, on average, but can reach nine meters in length. It lives in tropical waters and feeds on fish or invertebrates. It is one of the most feared by man.
