Manolo was a very diligent and intelligent dog, he always got the best grades in the class. Everyone thought that later he might dedicate himself to science or research. But you only had to listen to him for a few minutes to realize what he really wanted.
— I want to be the most famous football player of all time, and no one can stop me! — He said constantly.
His father, already elderly, knew life in depth. That's why he always said:
—Son, I like the confidence you have in yourself. But you must take into account that we are not always able to make our dreams come true. Life may have different plans for us. Do you understand? If for some reason you can't be a good football player, I wouldn't want to see you depressed because of it.
— No, father! I have enough willpower and firmness to achieve my ideal. —Manolo replied, a little annoyed.
These discussions were frequent. Time passed and his father fell ill and died. A few days later, Manolo fell and broke a leg. The doctors could do nothing to restore his former physical capacity. He walked normally again, but he would have to forget his dream, because he would never play football again with the performance he had before.
Distressed, Manolo understood what his father had wanted to tell him… to spare him. Since that moment, he has changed. He realized that his dream was over, but his life continued and that he could still have other dreams.
