Activities that involve collage, drawing, painting and even modeling are essential to promote creativity, autonomy, expression and socialization of children, contributing to the construction and expansion of artistic skills during their process of literacy. This type of activity also helps in the development of fine motor skills, visual perception and imagination, and also promotes knowledge and appreciation of one's own culture and others. Therefore, we selected some activities of cutting and pasting words. They can help come up with ideas for other activities that are of interest to students.
For gluing activities you can work with different types of materials such as:
cotton
egg shells
matchsticks
sawdust
dry leaves
papers of different textures (crepe paper, cellophane, suede, tissue paper)
seeds and grains
sand
buttons (of different sizes)
noodle
sequins and glitter
string and wool.
Example of collage activity:
With this cotton and cotton swab bonding activity, kindergarten children can explore skills such as visual perception, creativity, fine motor skills and also learning about clouds, their movements and formats. This material also allows us to work, through play, with themes related to natural phenomena such as the water cycle.
Fill the clouds with cotton and glue on cotton swabs to make the rain.
