Recognized worldwide for the development of cutting-edge technologies for the Defense, Aerospace and Industry 4.0 sectors, the company Akaer, headquartered in São José dos Campos (SP), was one of the winners, in the Innovation Management category (for medium-sized companies), of the 8th edition of the National Innovation Award Innovation, granted by the CNI (National Confederation of Industry) and Sebrae, in a ceremony held on Tuesday (26), at the São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo (SP).
On this occasion, the company's Vice President of Research, Development and Innovation, Joselito Henriques, “this award is the result of the efforts of the entire Akaer team, which inspires and exudes innovation. We believe that, through innovation, we can transform Brazil into a stronger, more equitable and sustainable country.”

With this award, Akaer, founded in 1992, wins its fourth trophy in the last four editions of the event, which gives it the title of the only national group to obtain such a mark, in recognition of its ability to maintain a quality standard of excellence for its products.
Before this award, Akaer had already won three other trophies in two previous editions of the PNI: in the 2018-2019 biennium, in the Product Innovation and Organizational Innovation categories, and in the 2021-2022 edition, in which it became champion in Innovation Law Suit. In 2020, the award was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Recognition of the country's best innovative practices, through the assessment of companies' innovation capacity and ecosystems, the National Innovation Award – sponsored by the Financier of Studies and Projects (Finep), a public company that promotes science, technology and innovation in the country – had a record number of participants (more than 3 thousand registered) from all states Brazilians. From this contingent, 39 finalist companies (small, medium and large) were selected, in addition to nine innovation ecosystems and eight researchers.
