One of the biggest changes in Google's new smartphones, which are now made from 100% recycled aluminum, concerns the cameras that are now grouped at the back. However, the news doesn't stop there, the model has higher power cameras compared to previous models.
According to Google, the standard cell phone model has a 50 MP main sensor, accompanied by an additional 12 MP ultrawide lens.
While its improved version, the Pixel 8 Pro, receives a 50 MP main camera, a 48 MP ultrawide camera and a further 48 MP telephoto camera to allow the use of 5x or 30x optical zoom via software.
In addition, extra software features were announced for the cameras of both smartphones, as well as the traditional modes that feature improvements from Artificial Intelligence. Now, for example, it will be possible to record videos while night mode is activated.
Thinking about bringing even more improvements, the new “Best Take” feature allows you to edit group photos. This way, the user can choose the best pose for each person in the photo. When it comes to “selfies”, both models (Pixel 8 and 8 Pro) have a 10.5 MP front camera.
The front of the smartphones has an OLED screen for both. The Pixel 8 is 6.2 inches with FHD+ resolution and a rate of 60 Hz up to 120 Hz (maximum brightness of 2,000 nits).
Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro has a 6.7-inch LTPO panel that allows for a variable rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz, as well as QHD+ resolution (with a maximum brightness of 2,400 nits).
To power the new models, 4,575 mAh and 5,050 mAh batteries are used, respectively. Both support fast charging of up to 30W wired or up to 23W wirelessly.
