In a bitter outcome for the iconic chocolate producer, Pan Food Products entered into bankruptcy process on February 13 of this year, after an unsuccessful period of judicial recovery that began in March 2021.
The company is known for its delicious creations in the shape of cigarettes, coins, pencils and fish, as well as for introducing the first diet milk chocolate in Brazil.

This week, seven lots that make up the bankruptcy estate of Pan Chocolates were put up for auction. However, surprisingly, most of the items did not receive any significant bids.
The goods, valued at an impressive R$114.9 million, are now available at prices that are up to 50% lower than the estimated value.
However, so far, only the third batch, which includes a truck and a Gol model car, has managed to attract a buyer.
The other lots contain everything from the company's property to industrial machinery, as well as a surprising variety of objects that belonged to the factory.
Among the peculiar objects that caught the attention of potential buyers are:
Metal scrap for a mere R$10,000;
Plush rabbits for R$15;
Playboy magazine sets for R$50;
A statue of Our Lady of Aparecida for R$50;
Damaged cell phones for R$70;
Supermarket cart for R$30;
Oxygen cylinders for R$30;
Thermos bottles for R$10;
Large pans for R$10;
Note boards for R$20;
Safes for values ranging between R$210 and R$250;
School cards for R$40;
A wheelchair for R$90.
Others are more conventional items available for purchase, such as:
Tables (R$ 150 each);
Used cell phones (R$450) and sealed (R$750);
Notebooks (R$1,500 to R$2,100);
Household appliances and electronics such as refrigerators (R$ 150 to R$ 350);
Air conditioning (R$1,000 to R$1,800);
Minibar (R$ 150);
TVs (R$300 to R$650);
Sound system (R$ 230 to R$ 350);
Microwave (R$ 150);
Digital projector (R$ 2,100);
Microphone (R$ 230);
Landline telephone (R$ 150);
Paper shredder (R$ 280);
Fan (R$50 to R$150);
Coffee maker (R$ 250);
Typewriter (R$50).
The auction will continue until September 15th, and it remains to be seen whether interested parties will be more receptive to offers so that the last remains of Chocolates Pan find new owners.
