Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, announced last Monday (9) that the satellite internet Starlinkwill soon be available on most aircraft, subject to certain conditions.
Musk shared this information in a Twitter post (currently X), stating that the internet will be on most aircraft, but only if the airline makes a request: request satellite internet!

This statement came in response to a user who had mentioned the lack of connectivity during a flight that lasted almost 11 hours.
On that flight, a passenger described the phrase “Sorry, internet not available” as one of the four worst words in the English language in his post — which was the phrase read throughout the flight.
Elon Musk entered the public's favor, reinforcing that satellite internet is very ready to lead the connection on flights, all it takes is for airlines to sign a contract with the company.
A SpaceX highlights that the service has the capacity to offer download speeds of up to 220 Mbps for each aircraft, allowing all passengers to enjoy access to the web, including streaming content, simultaneously.
This means that travelers on board will be able to make video calls, play online games and use virtual private networks, among other online activities — without receiving notifications that there is no connection!
The monthly cost for Starlink in-flight internet is $25,000, with additional hardware expenses reaching $150,000.
Starlink is currently available on Gulfstream G650 and G650ER aircraft, and is expected to be extended to the Bombardier Global Express and Airbus A321Neo, among other aircraft, before the end of the year.
