The location found dates back to the time of Crusades, a series of expeditions carried out by the Catholic church to claim land from the Swedish Crown. During the period, both parties controlled large regions that today make up Finland.

They were discovered in tombs some items that look like belongings from that era. The first item found was a sword with typical characteristics from 1,050 to 1,150, with a right guard and an oval pommel with three sides.
Furthermore, fragments of other swords were found at the site, as well as remains of wooden coffins and human bones. A belt made of leather worked with bronze decorations and adornments was also found at the site.
So far, no other objects have been found that could help identify the date from which the items originate. Archaeological finds in the tombs of the Crusades must be analyzed and treated.
After being found, the objectives were rescued and kept stored for their preservation. Radiocarbon dating was then applied to these items, which can identify their age.
After the procedure, the results should appear in 2024, thus providing more information about the dates of origin of the artifacts found at the excavation point.
