The MK30 incorporates a technology called “Detect and Avoid”, which allows it to avoid obstacles such as people, animals and property. Furthermore, it allows flights up to twice the distance compared to previous versions.
The innovative, safety-focused features will also allow the drone to deliver packages to homes with smaller spaces and in more densely populated suburban areas.
With the ability to carry packages weighing up to around 2.5 kg, this drone can operate in a variety of weather conditions. Imagine receiving your snack and the “motoboy” being a drone? It will be totally possible!
Customers in these regions will have the opportunity to choose to have their packages delivered via drones from the end of 2024, as announced by the e-commerce giant.
Amazon plans to integrate drone deliveries into its already established fulfillment network and implement them in locations that currently offer same-day deliveries.
