A British man in love with the saga “Lord of the Rings” by J. A. A. Tolkien decided to create his own private oasis, bringing the magical atmosphere of the famous fictional story into real life.
Glen Michael Herbert, a 60-year-old artist, embarked on this journey of inspiration and creativity by transforming his motorhome in a true Middle-earth refuge.

This lover of nature and fiction has found a unique way to combine his passions.
Living in a motorhome, that is, a trailer, Glen decorated the vehicle with meticulous details of the epic story created by Tolkien, also made into successful films for over twenty years.
For him, this life is a step towards realizing his dream of being a true guardian of the forest. The van, affectionately called Radagast, in honor of one of the characters in the saga, has been Glen's home for five years.

Acquired in 2017, the vehicle underwent nine months of meticulous renovations to become completely habitable.
Glen estimates that he invested around US$36,000, which would be approximately R$180,000, in the entire project, including the purchase of the van itself. The influences of “The Lord of the Rings” are everywhere in the motorhome.

He added forest-print wallpaper and even a dragon-shaped bathroom waste bin, adding a touch of fantasy to his home on wheels.
Additionally, Glen personally carved several scenes and characters from the story out of wood, demonstrating his talent as a professional woodcarver.

To further enhance the magical atmosphere, the motorhome was decorated with colored lights, transforming the space into an even more mystical and welcoming oasis.
Located in the UK's Dartmoor National Park, this little retreat on wheels offers artist and visitors alike an opportunity to delve deeply into Tolkien's world and experience the beauty of Middle Earth in a unique and fascinating.
