Connected Education: membership deadline ends on the 1st

Attention school directors and managers across the country! The deadline for adhesion to the 2023 Connected Education Innovation Policy (Piec) ends on November 1st, by completing the Financial Application Plan (PAF) by educational institutions, with a view to contracting high-speed Internet (terrestrial or via satellite), for the pedagogical use of digital technologies in education basic. But to obtain the resources, it will be necessary to access the Interactive Direct Money at School Program (PDDE).

  • Connect to the respective website, using your CPF and password;
  • Access the “Connected Education” module;
  • Read the general guidelines of the 2023 Policy;
  • Formalize the school's membership, through the digital signature of the membership term;
  • Answer monitoring questions.

Note: during the adhesion process, the PAF and the destination of the resources to be used by schools will be defined.

By highlighting that such procedures are 'indispensable' to guarantee the benefits of the PAF, the Secretariat of Basic Education (SEB) of the MEC, created the Piec 2023 PDDE Tutorial, containing general guidelines and a guide for joining the program and properly completing the PAF.

The central idea of ​​the federal government's National Strategy for Connected Schools is to promote education, by through the use of new technologies, with the collaboration of education systems, with a view to digital citizenship.

The goal of universalizing digital access by schools takes into account six basic axes:

  • Training and skills;
  • Curriculum;
  • Digital management and transformation;
  • Digital educational resources;
  • Environment and devices;
  • Connectivity.

In order to achieve the specific objectives of the connectivity axis, the National Strategy will take into account reference parameters, aiming to define the connectivity more appropriate to the pedagogical use of technology in the classroom, in view of the goal of connecting all public basic education schools in the country by 2026.

For pedagogical purposes, connectivity allows:

  • Carrying out pedagogical and administrative activities online;
  • Use of educational and management resources;
  • Access to audio, videos, games and streaming platforms, for educational purposes;
  • Availability of a wireless network in the school environment, consisting of classrooms, libraries, laboratories, teachers' rooms, common areas and administrative sectors.
