Due to the peculiarities of pedagogical work in daycare centers and preschools, the MEC will work together with universities to provide early childhood education, which will be reinforced by the participation of researchers specialized in this segment, especially with regard to the training of teachers who work in the first infancy.
Tuned MEC – In the understanding of the Secretary of Basic Education of the MEC, Katia Schweickardt, the initiative is important in the context of the “National Literacy Child Commitment”, commenting that “the MEC is in tune with the training of early childhood education teachers, so that they are able to develop quality work linked to oral and written languages in daycare centers and preschools.”
In this way, the reinforcement in the training of teaching professionals is based on ‘National Curricular Guidelines for Early Childhood Education’, which deals with the specificities of teaching at this stage of basic education, with the aim of ensuring that children assimilate different languages, which would facilitate them with a broader knowledge of the world in which they live.
During the presentation of the program – which is part of the Directorate of Policies and Guidelines for Integral Basic Education (DPDI) and the Directorate of Training and Valorization of Education Professionals (Difor) from the Secretariat of Basic Education (SEB) of the MEC – they were present, from education secretaries, articulators of the National Network for Articulation of Management, Training and Mobilization (Renalfa), coordinators of continuing training and early childhood education national education networks.

At the meeting, it was also decided that it will be up to the state organizers to post, by November 20th, on Avamec interactive, the list of states and municipalities that wish to participate in the LEEI.
