Homemade cereal bar

  • Preparation time: 1 hour and 30 minutes;
  • Yield: 12 units;
  • Difficulty: Easy.

Base ingredients

  • 1 cup of wheat flour;
  • 1 cup of wheat germ tea;
  • 1 cup of oat tea;
  • 1 cup of softened margarine;
  • Grated orange peel (as much as you want);
  • 1 cup of brown sugar;
  • Flour to flour your hands.

Ingredients of roof

  • 100g of Brazil nuts;
  • 50g of walnuts;
  • Fresh coconut pieces;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 1/4 cup (tea) brown sugar;
  • Grated coconut for sprinkling.

Preparation

  1. In the blender, add all the dough ingredients and use the pulse function until a ball forms;
  2. With floured hands, remove the dough from the blender and use it to form a square shape measuring 20 cm on a side;
  3. In a blender, coarsely grind the Brazil nuts, remove and set aside. Repeat the previous process with the nuts and fresh coconut;
  4. Mix the crushed chestnuts, walnuts and fresh coconut and distribute the mixture evenly over the dough in the pan;
  5. In the separate bowl, start beating the brown sugar with the eggs to achieve a homogeneous consistency. Then, pour this mixture into the cover layer;
  6. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 35 minutes at a moderate temperature, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean;
  7. After baking, let it cool and cut the preparation into 12 pieces. Sprinkle with grated coconut and they are ready to be enjoyed.
