After Babe wins the sheep herding contest, farmer Arthur Hoggett's finances go from bad to worse. After the farmer suffers an accident, his wife Esme Hoggett is left with the responsibility of taking care of the farm and preventing the property from being confiscated by a bank. She leaves with Babe for the “big city”, where the piglet gets into trouble to win a talent contest and raise funds to save the family ranch.
