Criminals are engaged in yet another coup attempt against Individual Microentrepreneurs and businesspeople from other branches linked to Simples Nacional.

In a statement, the IRS warns all businesspeople that it never gets in touch offering discounts on tax payments. Furthermore, it does not send Simples Nacional Collection Documents (DAS) via WhatsApp or SMS message.
In other words, businesspeople who fall for this scam will be losing their hard-earned money, instead of paying taxes with the IRS.
“The discharge of DAS or DAS-MEI to regularize debts is carried out exclusively on the Simples Nacional Portal or on the Portal e-CAC, through access with a verification code, digital certificate or gov.br account, with silver or gold classification”, said the entity.

According to the IRS, the best way to protect yourself against these scams is ignore messages from criminals. Furthermore, if possible, the businessman can file a police report denouncing the attempted coup.
Despite the apparent ease offered by scammers, it is always necessary to keep in mind what we have already highlighted before: the Revenue no sends invoices to taxpayers via messaging apps, SMS or email.
In fact, this maxim needs to be reinforced even more today, when we see the rapid and growing scanning of payment methods and various services.
